Christler, Section Vice President
The American Bridge Assocation is made of
eight geographical regions. The Southern
Section of the American Bridge Association
is comprised of Alabama, Florida, Georgia,
Mississippi, and Tennessee. The Section has
two units, Atlanta, Georgia and Memphis,
Tennessee, and twenty-three independent
clubs. We are also the fastest growing
section in the ABA.
The Section Vice President (SVP) is
responsible for managing the tournament
schedule and other activities of the
Section. The Vice President is elected by
the membership of the Section and serves
two-year terms on the Board of Directors of
the American Bridge Association. The SVP,
along with the Section Executive Committee,
plans and conducts two sectional
tournaments, sets the agenda, and goals and
objectives of the Section. The section is
committed to quality bridge education,
recruiting new and reclaiming old members to
participate duplicate bridge and social
bridge activities.
